George Firmin Kavishe is an Information Professional at the Sokoine University of Agriculture. He holds master degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Information Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), South Africa and received a bachelor degree in Computer Science Engineering from St. Joseph College of Engineering and Technologies. Also, he is a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), he obtained the certificate from NIIT Chennai India. As an academic staff he is interested in Records Management and Archival Administration, Cataloguing, Information Searching Retrieval, Automation of Information Centres, Digital Libraries Management and Introduction to Computer Networking. George's area of research interest is on Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D), Digital libraries as well as Records Management and Archival Administration. Currently he works with the Department of Informatics and Information technology.
