Prof. Alfred S. Sife is currently the Vice Chancellor of the Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU). Until February 2018, he was the Director of the Sokoine National Agricultural Library (SNAL), which is also a university library for Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). He also served as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Continuing Education at SUA between 2011 and 2014. Prof. Sife holds PhD and master degree in information studies from the University of Dar es Salaam and B.Sc. (Forestry) from SUA. His research, teaching and consultancy interests center mainly on information and communication technologies for development (ICT4D), scientometrics and bibliometrics, information literacy, and records management.
