Reader services section is a section under the Department of Reference and Community Information Services. The section is responsible for the following activities:
- Registering new library users
- Library user orientation
- Processing of new books e.g. making book pockets
- Circulation of books
- Statistics (user statistics, used book statistics, statistics of borrowed books)
- Answering user queries
- Shelving and shelf reading
- Orientation training
- Information literacy training
- User education
