Sokoine National Agricultural Library (SNAL) is expecting to conduct a two weeks orientation from 12th Nov to 25th Nov 2018 to the new and continuing students who are expecting to start their new academic year from 12th November 2018.

The former president of the United Republic of Tanzania honourable Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete congratulated Sokoine National Agricultural Library SNAL management for  coming up with the idea of establishing farmers centre of information called ‘MKULIMA COLLECTION’  in order to increase farmers knowledge on agricultural production.

This study by Kissinga et al (2018) titled: Antibiotic susceptibilities of indicator bacteria Escherichia coli and Enterococci spp. isolated from ducks in Morogoro municipality, Tanzania, aimed at estimating the prevalence of antibiotic resistance in indicator bacteria Escherichia coli and Enterococci isolated from duck faeces in Morogoro Municipality, Tanzania.

Soils formed on coral terrain have a wide range of depths to coral bedrock and percentage of coral outcrops. Cliffs and other features of seawater abrasion, limited root zone, habitation and distribution of specific plant species are among the common conditions on Zanzibar coral landscapes. The current study was intended to characterize the relationship between soil depth to coral bedrock (SDCB) and bedrock roughness (BR) and determine features which are related to seawater abrasion at Jozani Groundwater Forest (JGWF).

The Sokoine National Agricultural Library (SNAL) has joined other units in the university to participate at the Sokoine Memorial Week events which included various activities such as  tree planting, scientific/academic presentation and exhibitions from within and outside SUA and the Agriculture and Agribusiness conference.
