The overall objective of this training workshop is to train Technical personnel and custodian of repositories and enable them to undertake the upgrade process of their repositories. Enhancing effective day to day management of the repositories. Moreover, the participants will learn how to manage changes so that they do not affect the uptimes of the production system too much. They will also understand the importance of upgrading the repository software, server software and hardware if not visualized or in the cloud.

Specifically, the participants will be able to apply the steps and procedures of the upgrading process to upgrade their repositories.

NOTE: The upgrading will be done on Linux based Operating system.


ICT Officers, Information Management Specialist, Information Technician, System administrators, Repository managers from Government institutions, Non-Government organizations etc.


The workshop cost is 500,000 TZS. A cost covers workshop fees, breakfast, lunch and certificates of attendance



The course will take place from 21st to  25th, March 2022 (5 days).



The Training Workshop is expected to be conducted at Sokoine University-Main Campus, Morogoro, SNAL Computer Lab.


  1. Tuition fees (full) may be paid before or on the same day of training commencement
  2. Participants will be responsible for their travel and up-keeping costs
  3. For practical’s and exercises a participant may come with their laptop
  4. Participants should confirm their attendance four (4) days before
